Wrinkle Texture Tools

tools for creating wrinkles, skin texture, creases and scars on clay. All of these tools can used used directly onto clay or with the use of polythene plastic for softer lines and texture  

W1 - my original “Wrinkle Claw” tool with pinch grip handle. Using 0.5mm piano wire with kinked ends, the prints have been sharpened to a point. This tool works both with the tips and the knuckles of the kink to create softer lines

W2 - NEW 3 prong heavy line tool. The tips of the 0.8mm piano wire have been sharpened to a point. The heavier gauge wire allows for a firmer pressure to the clay for some deeper and slightly wider lines and creases across larger areas of clay.

W3 - My original elongated loop texture tool for softer lines. Using 0.4mm wire, the three different lengths provide three different points of pressure onto the clay allowing for greater variation with the texture made in a single pass.

W4 - Aggressive texture tool. Using 0.5mm wire, this tool with claw-like curves to the loops allow for very heavy texture and a heavier pressure for tearing into the clay for bark, heavily wrinkled skin and deeper creases in the clay. 

W5 - NEW three pronged/two pronged tool with sharpened tips. The longer end prongs are approximately 25mm in length and will create fine lines over multiple passes. The two pronged end uses even finer wire for scratching extremely fine lines in the clay for delicate forms. 

All single prong tools have been sharpened to remove any burr and to create very fine lines.
