9” Large Fine Clay Rake Tool prototype

Set into dark walnut, this large tool with an asymmetrical wire wrapped tool, a larger loop version of my no.2 rake tool. Drawing on the same loop shape, I use 0.4mm piano wire wrapped around and 1.2mm piano wire. This means the overall diameter of the wire is approximately 2mm. Along with brass uprights to ensure the loops don’t bend or flex against harder grades of clay, I employ the same technique for the other loop end - a large triangle loop with a long straight edge. 

the overall length is approximately 9” or 23cm  the diameter of the handle is 3/4” or 19mm. The loops are approximately 1” or 26mm wide.
